I start by rolling out a slab, then painting one side with red underglaze. I measure out each stick and cut them out individually before twisting to create the distinctive stripe. What a pain…
But it’s so worth the trouble. I love the crispness of that red stripe. It’s “holiday” with a minimalist edge.
